American Institute of CPAs

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) is the world’s largest association representing the accounting profession, with nearly 370,000 individual members in 128 countries. As a member of the AICPA, BGEM+D gains networking opportunities with colleagues among a broad spectrum of practices, including business and industry, public practice, government, education and consulting. The AICPA sets ethical standards for the profession and U.S. auditing standards for audits of private companies, non-profit organizations, federal, state and local governments. It develops and grades the Uniform CPA Examination; and it serves as an influential advocate for financial literacy, research and professional accounting interests.

Texas Society of CPAs

The Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) exists to support members like BGEM+D in our professional endeavors and to promote the value and high standards of Texas CPAs. To achieve its mission, it offers support and resources to champion statewide interests as well as local chapters in the form of leadership, governance, meeting hosting, and serving the public interest with programs that advance the highest standards of ethics and practice within the CPA profession. TSCPA has 20 local chapters statewide and 29,000 individual members.

Dallas CPA Society

The Dallas CPA Society, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (Dallas Chapter) is a professional association serving approximately 6,700 CPA members in Dallas and the surrounding 13 counties. It is the second largest chapter of the Texas Society, Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), governed by a board of directors elected from its membership. BGEM+D’s membership in the Dallas CPA Society provides us the opportunity to influence our profession at the grassroots level, where we can help shape statewide and national initiatives that affect our profession and our clients.
